I’m a day late getting this book update up on the blog. Sorry. Yesterday ended up being crazy busy. The book I am reading this week is Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. I am reading it for book club and didn’t have high expectations but am kind of enjoying it. It’s a rip off of many other stories from Hunger Games to Game of Thrones (even though I haven’t read or seen them I can just tell). It even says on the cover “fans of Game of Thrones and Hunger Games will love it!”.
I feel like it is saved by not taking itself too seriously. It embraces the camp value of the story and I’m enjoying it much more than I expected too. I should finish it today so we will see if I like the ending. Follow me on Goodreads to find out what I thought of the book in the end.

That’s actually a really great quote to show you the fun, silly feel of this book. It’s not great literature but I’m having a good time reading it.
Here’s the publisher’s summary if you are wondering what it is about:

Doesn’t that sound fun? It really is a fun, silly, easy read.
