Hawaii is over-priced and over-rated. I lived there for 4 years. You can get everything that’s over there, over here (CONUS), and for a lot less.
Sorry cant agree with you on that one. I love it. Happiest times of my life were there. I especially love the north shore, oahu.
Keep your memories that way by just visiting now and then.
Hope so. My grandparents don’t have the house anymore so it is harder to visit but I dream about it everyday. Going to Tampa this month so that should be fun.
Anyway, thanks for the comments. Always good to share different experiences.
My greatest dream is to get a vacation condo in Hawaii. I’ve been to a bunch of other beaches around the world and nothing has compared to the north shore
North Shore is nice (and I liked Matsumoto’s Shave Ice), but I think the windward side of the island was prettier.
Anyhow, visiting is one thing. Living there is another.
I’m sure that’s true but I still would love a timeshare or vacation condo type situation where I could go to the North Shore on holiday.
My Grandparents had a house in Haleiwa and I love that town. So many great places to eat. They are so friendly at the ward and I just feel like it is my second home. I love Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay. The last time I went I took surfing lessons and it was a blast.
So anyway, it’s just my little dream place to have a vacation residence. 🙂
