As I figure it knowledge falls into 4 categories- things I know, things I do not know, things I would like to know and things I have no desire to know. For this post I am focusing on the 3rd category- things I would like to know.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW
I would like to be able to:
cook different meats like lamb, veal and fish besides salmon
cook oysters, clams, mussels, shellfish in general
make light and fluffy biscuits
write a poem
start a pen pal
make pie crust flaky
make my own sausages/get a stuffer
I’d like to try tibetan, african, afghan, korean and other cuisines of food.
know how to paint, both watercolor and oils
learn to take better photos, especially for my blog
learn how to get my blog out there more effectively
take pottery class, sketching and everything else art
I’d like to know how to create a modern website with code.
I’d like to be able to grow a garden (have a bit of a black thumb myself)
Flower arranging (if I could find a flower shop I’d love that)
Learn how to cook duck, goose and cornish game hen (and maybe even quail, pheasant and squab).
take the fondant class (that’s the last cake decorating class I still haven’t taken)
learn how to ski come winter time
scuba diving lessons
make my own jewelry
learn how to flirt and meet men
(Ok. That last one is a lost cause)
So there’s lots of things to learn! What should I check off first? Anything you can help me out with?

I really don’t think I could learn all of these things by the end of the summer but maybe the next few summers?
Oooooh! Great list. I’d say the poem or food would be the best place to start! 🙂
I don’t know. I had to write a poem in college and it just about killed me. Its hard! 🙂 (but I think worth the attempt)
Awesome list! It’s a lot to learn, but it’s all great stuff. Don’t be discouraged about that last one… There’s a book I’d recommend. 🙂 It’s “Make Every Man Want You” by Marie Forleo. There are some things in there I don’t completely agree with being a person of faith, but the majority of it is good. It’s helpful for feeling confident and self-assured which can be hard to be all the time. Maybe check it out. It helped me.
Thanks. That’s so nice. I will check out that book. Every bit of advice helps.
Having a pin pal is also on my list! (As are many of these) but I’m a little afraid of it. With the modern world there are so many unwanted things you could run into with that. It’s just so difficult to find somebody decent enough to start with. I bid you luck with it!
When you look at statistics the chances of being endangered from the internet are small. That doesn’t mean you should be stupid but I’m not living in fear. I was thinking of a more personal pen pal with a real friend but not likely these days
why not ride a motorcycle?
it’s always seemed kind of dangerous to me. I saw a motorcycle get hit by a car once at a stop sign intersection and it kind of freaked me out
